The 2006 Down Syndrome Extra 21 Charity Ball

This year’s Ball, held at Essex County Cricket Club Grounds, went with a swing as we danced the night away in their Marquee. The band, Nuff Sed, kept us fully entertained by their diverse repertoire and there were lots of itchy male feet around – was this anything to do with the presence of three young female singers in the band???!!!???.

Due to the generosity of many local companies, we raised a fantastic £659 in the raffle with no outlay in prize money and hope to raise over £1300 profit from the night. The high profit is also thanks to Essex County Cricket Club who gave us use of the Marquee free of charge.

Many thanks go to all the people below who generously donated our raffle prizes:

• 4 Tickets to a Cricket Match in 2007 – Donated by Essex County Cricket Club

We look forward to the next Ball on 20th October 2007 at The Chichester, and hope to see a lot of you there.

One promise though, particularly for the ladies, we will never have another ball in a marquee as late as October!
