After another busy Christmas for all or members Down Syndrome Extra21 had a fantastic day out at Cliffs Pavilion Theatre in Southend on Sea where we saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
DSE21 helped by subsidising the ticket prices for our members and demand
was so great that the first 50 seats that were reserved sold out in about
3 days. We managed to get some more tickets but sadly we could not get
enough for all the families wanting to go. In the end 22 families came
along and 88 of us in total thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Everyone seemed to have a great time especially the children with lots
of “He’s behind you” and “Oh no he isn’t”.
From the feedback received the part where “Muddles” trouser
slipped down showing his “Bottom” to everyone seems to have
been a definite highlight of the show.
Overall the show was great fun with lots of songs and dancing that we could
all join in with. Even our youngest son Daniel who we were worried would
find it a bit too noisy, was dancing and joining in at the end.
Due to the response to this event DSE21 has already started making plans
to go to next years Panto which we think will be Dick Whittington.
Look out for details in our newsletter later this year.
