Thames Boat Trip
11th June, 10:00-18:00 | Tilbury
Saturday 11th June 2016
Back by popular request we are once again planning another Trip along the Thames on the Princess Pochahontas following the continued success of these trips and we have been inundated with requests to run it again, so Extra 21 invite you and your families to join us for a trip up River to Greenwich from Tilbury on Saturday 11th June 2016.
Come aboard at Tilbury and make yourself comfortable. Sit back and enjoy a full commentary on all the historic events and current landmarks that contribute to make a cruise upon the Thames such a unique experience. The Princess Pocahontas cruises past Tilbury Docks, under the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge (Dartford’s river crossing) and through the remarkable engineering feat of the Thames Barrier and on to Greenwich.
At Greenwich you can go ashore for two and a half hours to explore all the treasures that this historical area has to offer – The National Maritime Museum, The Royal Naval College and the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark.
Bargain hunt in the numerous antique shops or amongst the stalls of the Saturday craft market, or relax in the huge Greenwich park with its beautiful gardens and Deer park.
Alternatively, for those of you would like to see more of the river we have arranged (depending on numbers that want to stay on board) for the boat to continue upriver to Westmintster passing by even more historic places. This will only happen if there are enough people wanting to continue with the trip to make it economically worthwhile.
Ticket prices are being subsidised by DSE21 and will be Adults £15, Children £7.50, Children under 5 or young person with DS free.
Booking forms will be sent out shortly but to reserve a place contact Deidre Clement by email or by phone on 01277 365618
