“My name is Greg Stuttle and I have been on the committee for DSE21 since 2003.
I am married to Sam and we have two children Thomas and Daniel.
As a family we got involved with DSE21 when Daniel was just under a year old and we have since made many friends with other families we have met through the social events and activities organised by the charity.
I am very proud to be involved with this charity and find it very rewarding as well.”
Deidre & Andrew Clement
Deidre and Andrew Clement, currently Secretary and Treasurer of Down Syndrome Extra 21, became members of the North East Thames Branch of the Down’s Syndrome Association following the birth of their son, Duncan, who is now 20 years old, and both served on the Branch Committee for a number of years.
Andrew is Finance Director of a company in Colchester whilst Deidre is a “stay at home” mum, which has enabled her to deal with the increased workload associated with being Secretary of a charity, membership of which has grown steadily since Extra 21 came into existence. She really enjoys the “job”, in particular manning the Helpline.
Being there to offer support to parents/relations/friends is something she has found most rewarding in the 10 years she has been Secretary (and the 8 years prior to that as Secretary of NE Thames Branch). Andrew took over as Treasurer in 2004, his background in finance being very useful to him in that role.
“Hi my name is Mary Paton and I have been a member of the DS extra 21 committee for 8 yrs. I enjoy helping to arrange family events and get togethers for our members it is so important that we all support each other and share ideas.
My husband Mark and I have four girls between us: Molly is our youngest at 11 and she has DS, she is a happy, quiet and easy going little girl but recently had to transfer to special school due to a breakdown. However, she is now well on the road to recovery.”
“Hi, I’m John. I’m married to Cathie, we have three children: Sam (20), Alice (18) and Emily (16).
I’ve been a Committee member for about 10 years and organise the Stubbers events and panto each year.”

We have two boys Harrison & Max. Max our youngest is a very happy 6 year old who has Down’s Syndrome. We have been members of DSE21 since Max was a baby enjoying many of the events & have decided to join the committee to help ensure the charity continues.
