Down’s Heart Group Conference and Family Fun Weekend
The Down’s Heart group would like to invite our members to our bi-annual conference and family weekend taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2015 at Combe House Hotel, Holford, Bridgwater, Somerset.
The conference will take place on Saturday 16th May and this year’s theme is “Lifelong Learning”. They are still finalising the programme but we will have 3 main speakers:
A consultant speaking on heart problems
A professional speaking on education
A leading charity director speaking on Direct Payments and regaining a full life
In the afternoon they will run 3 workshops twice, so delegates can choose 2 each. We are hoping to have workshops to help with alternative ways to achieve educational goals including all age ranges.
There will be a crèche for younger children and activity workshops for the older ones. There will be plenty of time for networking and questions, plenty of refreshments and lunch and several stalls and displays to browse during breaks.
The rest of the weekend includes an introductory supper on Friday evening, a dinner and disco on Saturday evening and a family day on Sunday, which may include a trip off site to a local attraction or social activities within the hotel and grounds.
Delegates can dip in and out of any part of the weekend, for example, just attend the conference or just attend the dinner and disco, whatever suits. Prices are discounted for local Down’s group members. They also welcome professionals – student nurse, teachers, therapists etc
Please feel free to ask any questions on 0844 288 4800 or info@dhg.org.uk
Thank you
Kind regards, Sarah
