Volunteers needed by Contact a Family
Contact a Family supports families caring for disabled children with any disability or condition. Their volunteers are an integral part of the organisation and support other families through signposting, being a listening ear and finding ways to inform parents and professionals.
They are looking for a parent to join their team of volunteer parent representatives (reps). Reps raise awareness of Contact a Family in their local areas and signpost parents and professionals to local information. Their reps decide for themselves how to use their volunteering time to fit in with their own family circumstances.
Volunteers are backed up by the knowledge and expertise of all the staff teams in Contact a Family and are supported and valued through induction, training, regular meetings, individual support and payment of agreed expenses.
